“The Stellenbosch LLM programmes are aimed at professionals with a first degree in law who wish to obtain a further tertiary qualification as well as specialized knowledge in a particular area of the law. They are very popular with international students from Europe, since the language of instruction is English and international students usually find this to be the ideal way in which to better their English language. The Law Faculty is also very popular with students from Africa, especially Botswana, Nigeria, Tanzania and Namibia. In addition to the well known LLM programme in International Trade Law, a general LLM by course work is also offered, which provides students with the opportunity to construct the module component of their degree themselves, based on their particular interest.”
