Penn Law Conference Focuses on History and Future of the OIRA

Academics and former OIRA administrators to discuss the "regulatory czar"

Dec 4, 2006

On December 6, 2006, the Penn Program on Regulation at the University of Pennsylvania Law School will be hosting "White House Review of Regulation: Looking Back, Looking Forward," a one-day conference discussing the controversial Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), which was created 25 years ago.

The conference will include a two-part symposium of academic experts discussing the OIRA and regulatory reform, followed by an evening forum of five former OIRA administrators from 1981-2006 entitled "Presidential Oversight: A Panel Discussion with Regulatory 'Czars' from Reagan to Bush."
