Lund University Law Faculty Launches New Master Programs

New programs in European Business Law and Maritime Law to begin in autumn 2007

Dec 14, 2006

The Faculty of Law and the School of Economics and Management at the University of Lund (Sweden) have announced the launch of a two-year Master Program in European Business Law beginning in autumn 2007. Meanwhile Lund University, together with the World Maritime University in Malmö, will begin a new master program in maritime law.

According to the university website, the Business and Law program "offers an advanced specialization for future or current legal advisers or business decision takers dealing with cross-border transactions within and outside European borders."

The Faculty of Law website also explained the need for its maritime law program: "In a time when transportation at sea takes new technology as a competitive advantage towards other means of transportation and with the congestions on the roads in Europe the seagoing trade sees a new dawn. It is therefore important that the legal aspect of maritime activities closely follows this development."

Applications are due February 1, 2007. For more information and application material, please visit the Lund University website.
