The Ohio State University to Launch First LL.M. Program
New program begins at Moritz College of Law in AugustJan 15, 2007
The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in Columbus, Ohio (USA) will launch its first LL.M. program in August 2007. The program is designed for foreign lawyers seeking a generalized study of US law or to advance their knowledge of one of six concentrations offered by the program: Business Law, Criminal Law and Procedure, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property, International Law, Labor and Employment Law.
According to the university, the program's primary two goals are "to immerse foreign lawyers in a year of U.S. legal education and to foster interaction between American J.D. students and the LL.M. students.”
With a total student enrollment of over 50,000, the Ohio State University is one of the biggest universities in the United States. Columbus is the capital of the state of Ohio, and has a population of over 700,000 people.
Applications for the program are accepted until May 30, though prospective students are advised to apply as early as possible.
