Leiden University Fund Scholarship Applications Due on April 1

Two scholarships available for incoming LL.M. students from abroad

The Leiden University Fund (LUF) alumni organization will award a number of scholarships to eligible foreign students admitted to an English-language Master's program at Leiden University in the Netherlands for the 2007-2008 academic year. Two scholarships - worth 10,800 Euros each - are available to highly qualified incoming LL.M. students from aborad.

Incoming LL.M. students at Leiden are also eligible to apply for the "Law Faculty Master's of Advanced Studies Scholarship," which is a 5,000-Euro tuition fee reduction.

The application deadline for the LUP scholarship is April 1, 2007. For more information about these and other scholarships at Leiden, please visit the international programs website and follow the link to "scholarships."

    I'm a Rwandan and a graduate with an honors degree in law from the National University of Rwanda. Currently i work as a legal consultant with a prominent law firm in Kigali(Mhayimana isaie Law firm) Im greatly interested in obtaining an LLM scholarship.I want to specialize in Commercial law. I appeal to any institutions, NGOs, Government,s churches or individuals to come to my help.Once i get this scholarship, i promise to use the knowledge obtained to further contribute to the development of my country.

    I'm Dauri Lie. I have graduated from faculty of law University of Indonesia since 2008. Now, I'm working as a legal consultant in Indonesia Law Firm (Rustriyandi Raharjo Law Firm, the specialist in Criminal Banking). I like to study about law, because i want to applicated my ability about law to help weak people. I don't like to see fairness. But, I have a limited knowledge about law. So, I would like to increase my knowledge about law. I want to continue my post-graduate in Leiden University. The reason that I choice Leiden University is :
    a. Leiden is one of the top university in the dutch.
    b. The ancient law of Indonesia is connected with the dutch. I'm really interested to continue LLM, especially in Bussiness / Commercial law and Human Rights.
    I would glad to hear some information and help from anyone about scholarship in leiden University, included Leiden University, NGO, Government, etc.

    I'm NSABIMANA YOUSSOUF. I have graduated from faculty of management at kigali institute of science technology and management since 2005. Now, I'm working as a finance manager, the specialist in finance like to study about finance, because i want to applicated my ability about management to help in developing our countries. . But, I have a limited knowledge about lmanagement. So, I would like to increase my knowledge about management. I want to continue my post-graduate in Leiden University. The reason that I choice Leiden University is :
    a. Leiden is one of the top university in the dutch.
    b. The ancient management of Rwanda is connected with the dutch. I'm really interested to continue LLM, especially in Bussiness / Commercial law and Human Rights.

    hello everybody,
    I have a bachelors degree in Law(LL.B). and i want to study further for my masters degree. the reason why i choose for the leiden University is because we have the same language and most of the literature that is being used at the university are from the netherlands.with the masters degree i can gain more knowledge about the specific area which i want to study.
