Georgetown To Offer New LL.M. in Global Health Law in 2007-08
New program follows establishment of health law instituteMay 9, 2007
Georgetown Univesity Law Center in Washington D.C. will introduce a new LL.M. program in Global Health Law beginning this academic year (2007-08).
According to the Georgetown Law website, the new program "offers lawyers working nationally and internationally the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills through focused studies in core legal and policy courses on global health, individual and public health, human rights, bioethics, international economics, biotechnology, and science." The Georgetown Law Center also offers additional coursework in related areas of legal interest, such as disabilities, environment, insurance, intellectual property, international trade, patents, and refugees.
Georgetown also recently established the Linda and Timothy O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law.
