Two Advanced Training Courses in International Humanitarian Law
Upcoming five-day courses in Cambridge (July) and Brussels (September)Jun 26, 2007
The Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research and the International Committee of the Red Cross have organized advanced training courses on International Humanitarian Law and Current Conflicts. The first of these five-day courses will take place in Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA) during July 16-20, 2007; the second course will take place in Brussels (Belgium) during September 10-14, 2007.
The application deadline for the Cambridge course is past, but prospective students have until July 7th to apply for the Brussels course.
According to the program website, the training courses "are designed to assist mid-career professionals in acquiring and refining the necessary skills to address humanitarian challenges through IHL. The trainings are addressed to policymakers and practitioners concerned with the role of IHL in the work of governments, international organizations, and humanitarian NGOs operating in conflict zones."
