American University WCL Introduces Law & Government LL.M. With Gender Focus

The Women and the Law Program and the Program on Law and Governmnment at the American University Washington College of Law (WCL) are starting a new LL.M program during 2007-08 in Law and Government, Specialization in Gender and the Law. Unlike the international context of WCL's International Legal Studies LL.M. with Specialization in Gender and the Law, this new program will focus on women's rights and gender equality in the United States.
According to the WCL website, the program is "designed for recent graduates of U.S. and foreign law schools who wish to delve deeper into feminist legal theory and policy, as well as experienced practitioners who want to apply their experience in other fields to promote women’s rights in the United States."
American University is located in Washington D.C. The application deadline for the Fall 2007 semester for this program has passed.
