Aberdeen Launches Private International Law LL.M. Program This Month

University bills program as UK's first speciality program in this field

Jan 6, 2008

Beginning in January 2008, the University of Aberdeen School of Law in Aberdeen, Scotland will be offering an LL.M. in Private International Law. The program is billed as the first specialist program in this field in the UK, and possibly anywhere in the English-speaking world.

The program is comprised of four taught courses - the compulsory "Private International Law Concepts and Institutions" and three electives - along with a dissertation.  It can be taken full-time or part-time, and students also have the option of getting a Postgraduate Diploma in Private International Law, which does not require writing a disseration.
