Mar 21, 2008

The University of Dundee School of Law in Dundee, Scotland has announced the creation of a new joint LL.M. program in International Commercial Law with the University of Cergy-Pontoise (UCP) in France.

The program will commence in September 2008, and will aim to give students "in-depth knowledge of a wide range of contemporary commercial law subjects from both a common law and civil law perspective."

Students enrolled on the dual qualifying LL.M. will graduate with a LL.M. in International Commercial Law from Dundee University and an LLM. in Business & Taxation Law or Law & Business Ethics from UCP.

The autumn semester will be spent in Scotland and the spring semester will be spent in Cergy-Pontoise, which is located 30 minutes from central Paris. Students will then use the summer in Dundee to write a 15,000-word dissertation on a comparative commercial law topic.

The course will be taught in English.
