Chapman University Introduces Trial Advocacy Residency LL.M. Program
One of four new programs that Southern California law school is introducing this fallJul 30, 2009
Chapman University School of Law will begin a new Trial Advocacy Residency LL.M. program this Fall. The new program will begin this Fall, along with the three other new LL.M. programs that Chapman is launching (LL.M. in Business Law & Economics, LL.M. in Entertainment & Media Law, and an LL.M. in International & Comparative Law).The Trial Advocacy program will include a 15-week "residency" in a criminal agency or law firm. According to the law school, this residency will see them "routinely make court appearances and handle other pretrial matters. Most will also try at least one complete jury trial."
The program is designed for "new law graduates or practicing lawyers who wish to gain otherwise unattainable civil or criminal trial experience."
Attorneys must be licensed by the California Bar to participate in the second semester residency program."
Chapman University is located in Orange, California, in the greater Los Angeles Area.
