"An Introduction to the Language, Culture, and Study of Law in the United States" is a three-week certificate program offered to incoming LL.M. students and visiting scholars to the University of Illinois College of Law. The majority of 75 hours of instruction will focus on improving the English skills of non-native speakers -- with a particular focus on the language skills "required to succeed in an American law school."
The language program at the University of Illinois is one of many English language courses being offered at law schools this summer to prepare non-native speakers for the academic year.
