Students who want to sit exams in May 2007 should apply by July 31

Lawyers interested in the postgraduate law degrees (postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, and LL.M.) available via the University of London External Program, and who plan to sit their exams in May 2007 should have their applications submitted by July 31.

The University of London External Programe -- offered jointly by the law departments at Queen Mary and University College London -- is one of the most popular postgraduate law programs in the world.

    The programme is quite reputable but the fee structure is quite high for an external programme.

    I just want to know that I have done masters in poltical science from a pakistani university and doing L.L.B. now in part three (the result of part two will ne announced in jan 2009). what are my chances of getting admission in L.L.M. external program university of London. I want to enrol in Jan 2009 and complete it in the same year.

    Yaser, I doubt that you could finish the whole LLM (16 sections) in less than 2 exam-sittings, i.e: one in May (for which you have to register, I think, in the preceding October), and one in October (for which, I think, you have to register by the preceding January). Moreover, I think that you cannot sit for more than 9 sections in your first exam. Also, the number of hours of study recommended per section is, I think, around 115 hours. Good luck!
