Hofstra Law School Offers New Family Law LL.M. Program

Hofstra University School of Law will offer a new LL.M. program in Family Law starting this Fall. Hofstra is now one of the only schools in the country to offer a Family Law LL.M., and -- located near New York City -- it is the only Family Law LL.M. program on the East Coast of the United States.
Hofstra's website reports that the new program "meets the needs of all students, whether they seek to concentrate on matrimonial issues - marital dissolution, child custody, and property distribution; child protection issues - child abuse and neglect and the child welfare system; or one of the growing areas of subspecialty - international family law, legislative reform, or representing gay and lesbian families."
The Family Law LL.M. is a one-year program, but it can be taken over two years on a part-time basis.

My name is Gopal Lamichhane from smallest beautiful Country. Nepal has ratified many International, Regional Conventions of Human Rights and Child Rights with out Reservation. Despite of these, the implementation status in terms of protection and promotion of HRs and Child Rights are declining. I got this mail address from various means and web side. Then, I believed that i could be receiving useful web side and valuable address for further studies in above mention area from you.
I am holding a Master degree (LL.M.) in Public international law specially Human Rights and Humanitarian. I have completed Research and Dissertation on UN CRC, 1989 and Juvenile Justice in Nepalese perspective. I have worked more then 18 years in area of Human Rights, Community Health, Child Rights Protection and Juvenile Justice with having different capacity.
I am optimist, so I think that my Knowledge, Skill and Long experience on Child Rights, Juvenile Justice and Human Rights should be consolidate as soon for better the Plan and Policy of my Country. In this context, I decided that I will be taken at least 1 year leave from my employee to enhance my Skill, Knowledge and Attitude on above mention area thought the training and advance Course.
