New IE-Northwestern European Executive LL.M. Program Begins
Course combines on-line learning with on-campus teaching in Chicago and MadridSep 18, 2006
Instituto de Empresa Business School (Madrid) and Northwestern University School of Law (Chicago) began the inaugural year of their European Executive LL.M. Program this month. Program content focuses on the common-law based legal system of the US, its practical application in European and international practice, as well as key aspects of business administration.
"This pioneering program in Europe is intended for working lawyers with experience in international practice, and who wish to obtain their LL.M. degree without having to dedicate an entire year to full-time study," said Instituto de Empresa Business School in a statement.
The program, taught in English, combines on-line instruction with on-campus instruction in both Madrid and Chicago.
“It’s an honour for us to offer this opportunity to professionals working in the international law and business sector," said Dean David Van Zandt of Northwestern Law. "It is vitally important for them to know and understand the European and the US legal systems, not only for their success as international counsel and executives, but also for the success of their firms and companies. Participants in this program will be able to immediately apply the knowledge that they acquire in their work.”
