Hi, I consider rejecting it, as I feel I should go to Chicago (or perhaps Harvard, if admitted). But I do want to consult some professors from my law faculty before making a final decision.

Just got an email of rejectance. :(Wed Mar 15, 2006 05:57 PM I am sorry to inform you that, after reviewing the applications to the LL.M. program for the 2006-2007 academic year, the Advanced Legal Studies Committee of the School of Law is unable to offer you admission to this year’s class. This year, we received more than 600 applications from 50 countries for the 65 places in the LL.M. program. As a result, we must exclude a great many highly-qualified applicants whom we would be pleased to have at Boalt Hall. This email is sent in addition to an official document you should receive by postal mail with then next few weeks. well guys....just chill out.... if u hav recd. a rejection letter...never mind....if u havent recd any....watch a nice movie...eat some pop corn and wait..... i havent recd my decision yet...so i am probably going to call them tomorrow.... but i already have been offered admission at NYU...though i am strongly inclined towards IP (esp biotech)....i guess i will go for the generalised LLM at NYU... anyways...whats the placement scene with Berkeley IP??? do LLM grads get jobs???

Mon Mar 20, 2006 06:07 PM hey! i juz got my Berkeley rejection!:(..but nevermind! hey....i fin. my 5 years course last july..have been working since.. biotech was a fortunate accident...started with a moot court when i had to address issues of subsistence of copyright in gene sequences.....then an article...then a seminar with top scientists frm india..... welll,,,,my inclusion in it till now has been circumstantial....dnt mind to make it deliberate |

So I have neither the "Taking the next step"-document, nor a SID, nor a PIN... I called yesterday the admissions office to get more details on the next steps. They confirmed to me that they would finalize the admission process first prior to sending any documentation to admitted students. I'm also still waiting for their mail. I'm little bit worried about that, because postal service of my country is not so conscientious and very often they lose correspondence. I hope that Berkeley will use some kind of express mail service.
