Hey guys,
I called Law Faculty this morning and was told that they anticipated that admissions decisions would be completed by Friday and to call back then if I hadnt heard anything. The lady was absolutely lovely, extremely helpful and polite, unlike some of the US counterparts .... cough ... Columbia .... cough.

That said I have already decided where I am going so at this point all I really want is a yes or a no for my own satisfaction. It is absolutely ridiculous for it to go on this long. I was contacted by every other School I applied to a month or two months ago, and deadlines for acceptances passed, and still no word? They must be exceptionally confident in themselves that people would turn down places like Harvard, Oxford, Columbia or NYU or any other of the top places for them. Big mistake.

Actually, I got the paperwork today (I got the email 3 months ago). The Columbia lady was too busy cheering on the Moot Court teams?

LOL. Yeah, that guy posting those comments was so ridiculous. Go over to Columbia is No 1 post, some hilarious stuff on there :)
Congrats on the admit to Cambridge. Just surprised that a University with its reputation would have such an inefficient admissions process where they make decisions in drips and drabs over five months. That being said, they werent the only ones ....

About time!! I agree that Cam take a very arrogant approach towards admissions. When I was applying to unis, Cambridge was actually my preferred choice, because it'd be cheaper to study there than Oxford, and I thought they had some better units on offer. But I've already decided to accept my Ox offer regardless of the outcome of my Cambridge application. I think the way they've approached the admissions procedure may be indicative of the attitude they take towards their LLM students and it has put me off the university completely.

Hi Everyone,

They have reached all decisions. You can contact Susan Wade at 44-1223-330034. She is the LLM secretary.

Good Luck to all of you!

Just called the department to speak to the secretary. She said she is off to a meeting and that I could find out later today. She did say that most of the decisions have been made.

The imression I got was that there are not many that still have to be made. I am sure if you call the department this afternoon you will get 'the answer'.

Good luck - hopefully we will be meeting up in September!

Knowing the way Cambridge has gone about this entire process, I wouldn't be surprised if we get the admissions e-mail in December.

You should just call the department and find out - perhaps not an easy thing to do - but then at least the waiting will be over.

Good luck all!
