LL.M Finance
I do recommend the LL.M Finance programme of The Institute of Law and Finance, Goethe University, Frankfurt (www.ilf-frankfurt.de). It is in English and German is not reqired. It is a full time programme, and has a part time option suitable for those living and working in Frankfurt as well. The programme is sponsored by ECB and the lecturers are mostly practioners within the industry rather than pure academicians. Wed Mar 02, 2005 03:05 PM I could not attend myself unfortunately, 'cause I am seeking for an executive version, but have read a lot on the website, spoken to one of the current students, and got information from the programme director. It is definitely worth considering for those who consider LL.M Finance in Europe in English. |

Hey Tayfun,Thu Apr 14, 2005 04:15 PM Just tumbled upon this and thought it very concise. For me, it hit the nail on the head, as was one of the European programs I thought excellent, based on my career goals, plus professional background of law-and-finance intertwine. Just one query tho' -you mentioned that you were seeking something more 'executive'. Just wondered if may be you thought this program was limited in this particular respect. Many thanks in advance. Karolle,Mon Apr 18, 2005 04:05 PM My problem was the timetable: They offer part-time, but not block weeks as you would expect from an executive program. Anyway they don't claim to be an executive program. You can attend part-time and work meanwhile but only if you work in Frankfurt -which is not the case for me.
