Having studied both in London and the north of England (Lancaster) Manchester University would be my first choice.

Both of those universities are very good but the north of England is a lot better than London. The student life is a lot more fun and A LOT cheaper. Manchester University has one of the best law school in the world and the library is excellent.

KCL is very good obviously but in London you are likely to live far from the college (even in halls of residence), with accomodation, food and leisure at least 30% more expensive than anywhere else in Britain.

Besides the University of London LLMs are very crowded a the modules can be taken by the students from other colleges (and you can take modules offered somewhere else of course). In Manchester there is likely to be around 10 students per class whereas in London there will probably be closer to 20 per class.

All that said whichever one you chose you can't go wrong as they are both excellent unis.

Hope this helps.

I'm studying my LLM in Internationa Business Law at the University of Manchester. Said that i can give you an impartial view suggesting that Manchester is the best choice as between the two is the better university!
If you have a look at the rankings you'll see that Manhester is ahead of Kings, to be honest there's no camparison if you take under exam, as pointed out by Jess, the cost of life and tuiton fees! You get a better education in Manchester by paying less money!!!
I've said all
