Hi Sofi
I was offered a place in UCL for 2006 LLM study, Commercial and Corporate Law as well.
I am from Beijing China.
But I'm not sure whether I will accept it.
I'm still considering the offer from Durham University.
It's a hard decision...

Congrats to both of you!
I applied 2 weeks ago to UCL and still have not received any confirmation by e-mail whether they have received my package.
How log did it take for you to hear from them after the submission of all your materials and how long did it take for the offer?

I sent the documents in December, got a notice establishing that my file was complete in February, and the letter of acceptance last week. It takes quite a while, however I live in Colombia, so that matters I guess.

Muchas gracias!

Your annswer was quite speedy!
In the meantime I called the office of admissions and I was told they dispatched a letter last week on my notification that they have received all my stuff, AND according to their file I can expect a decision on the 9th of May which is exactly 6 weeks from now. I think this much time is pretty acceptable...
The amount of time consumed in your case was rather long.

On the other hand may I ask, how your academis credentials looked like? Did you have lots of extracurricular involvements?

Thanks and congrats again!

I submitted my application at the end of January and was told that I would receive an answer by 21 March. Not having heard anything I went to the Graduate office yesterday, and it seems that they are struggling to keep their own time frames. I would advice everyone to be patient (judging from the vast piles of applications they had lying around). They only just got my application back from the academics yesterday and told me they would send me an answer this week.

Hello. Well I do not have lots of extracurricular involvements, however I am member of a Copyright Institution in Colombia. I have a diploma in Intellectual Property (graduate studies). I published a book in Colombia regarding copyright and have some articles that have been published. My Toefl score was 277 and my University undergraduate grades were 4.26 out of 5 (Colombia has a different system for grading, it goes from 1 being the worst till 5). My graduate grades were 4.68 out of 5.
I hope you get the decision from the UCL soon, good luck!

Hi, I was admitted to LSE and UCL (I received the letter just yesterday and applied late in January). I chose UCL. I have a question; does anyone know when is the deadline for paying the tuition fee at UCL? Tks.

Hi, there!

I got accepted to UCL as well. Think I will choose UCL over KCL. Did you make your plans on accomodation yet? I plan to visit UCL in early May to look around the campus.

Hello!

I actually heard that there are intercollegiate halls specifically for postgraduates. Have you by chance heard which are those?

cheers,
Troy

hi.

one of my seniors who went to lse last year told me that intercollegiate halls are good. but something which is more important than the "good" part is the "commuting" part. the distance from the main campus is a big factor and cannot be overlooked.

however, i am still trying to figure out the best one coz there is hardly anytime left to secure a place in the university accomodation.

Regards

Hi,

I received my conditional offer a while ago now. I am still considering my options and haven't finally decided to go.

Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting for their offer!

I turned down UCL for the College of Europe in Bruges... I want to do a combination of European and Financial Services law, and while I initially thought that the CoE was more prestigious but UCL would be stronger in financial services, I discovered the financial services professor at the CoE was JA Usher! So it was CoE all the way.

Received an offer from UCL - just waiting for my exam results to find out whether I have met the terms of the offer.
