"New" university LLM advice
Hello,Fri Apr 14, 2006 06:13 PM I am an undergraduate student at Nottingham Trent University, which some UK students will know is a post-1992 uni. I am only concerned about the way employers might view my degree (2:1) in comparison with those older, more prestigious schools. If I am a student from a new uni, would it be worth doing an LLM at a redbrick or ancient university to polish my CV a bit? Also, does anyone knoe how well-regarded the London External LLM is? The first question you need to ask yourself is whether you want to do LLM or not? If you don\\\'t really want to, and you would do it just to improve your CV, that would be your last option then. Why don\\\'t you do LPC/apply for a job first, see how it goes -- if the employer wants you, then you don\\\'t need to do LLM anymore.
