My professor, who wrote me the reference letter and who is a partners of the Lovells office in Milan, advised me to send application to London colleges or Trinity College...so i think Trinity has a good reputation, at least in Italy.....but frankly, i can say u just that...

Mi spiace ma sono francese... Ho studiato a Bologna e vorrei fissarmi in Italia dopo. A presto ! |

Come to Edinburgh! It's a great city, it's one of the friendliest uni's around, it's got it all, the courses are great, it enjoys a great reputation world-wide and it's where I live!Fri May 12, 2006 04:10 PM Warning: this message is complete with extreme bias on account of me currently working in the School of Law and living in Edinburgh ;-) |

Hi Malk!Mon May 15, 2006 03:56 PM I would recommend Edinburgh. I have been there for a couple of days in 2005. It is a gorgeous city! The reputation of the university is excellent. It is among the best 50 universities of the world (ed.sjtu.edu.cn/rank/2005/ARWU2005TOP500list.htm). I will join the Commercial Law Programme. Let's meet there in September! Bye Mathias Hi folks, [Edited 15 May 2006 by MathiasW] |

Malk, I wonder... are you closer to making your selection?Fri May 19, 2006 09:50 AM Hi Marco, It's quote common for people to choose to do an LL.M after they have spent a few years in practice. In some ways this may be a wiser choice as you will have had time to see how far you can progress without an LL.M. It may be that your preferred field in academia is not the one you would wish to practice, so having some experience behind you before choosing an LL.M may work to your advantage. Distance learning is also an valid option for postgrads now, so I only imagine that there will be even more choice available in a few years time. The main advantage here is that you could remain in your job while you are studying for your LL.M. There's nothing wrong with getting the specialism now of course! It's an increasingly tough market for employees to find work, so anything that gives you a competitive advantage will likely see you land a job that's closer to your ideal. my professor advised me to go for the LL.M. cause it would be very helpful in order to enter a big international law firm here in italy...at the same time i have an interview for an english law firm here in milan next week....so, if they'll take me, i'll stay here to work....if not, i hope to get an offer from TCD (my first choice) and if'll get ti, i'll go for the LL.M.:-)Mon May 22, 2006 05:05 PM what about u? |

You probably meant "my prof. adives me not to go for the LLM".Mon May 22, 2006 05:21 PM It's almost the same here : I have an interview with the UEFA next week. In case of a interesting proposition, I will have to think about it... Let me know about your interview ;p |
