Does anyone know if the LLM program in Tax at the University of Florida "ranks" students? Also, does anyone know whether the required courses are primarily graded by exams or papers? Thanks.

i'm not sure about the "rank" question, but i'm fairly certain the required classes are graded by exam.

are going to UF in the fall? i'll be there as well. trying to find a place to live half-way across the country is not easy.

you are graded on exams. it's like law school, there is usually just one exam at the end of the semester. only the top ten students in the class are ranked, and that's at the end of the year. you have to maintain at least a B (3.0) average or you won't graduate. as i have been told by a couple of UF llm grads, unlike law school, your llm class rank doesnt make much of a difference. most folks have a job lined up before they graduate and find out if they are in the top 10 or whatever.

im gonna be there this fall too. there are approximately 60 students in the tax llm program and approximately 20 in the new international taxation program
