I'm in too. But I am still wondering whether I shall accept the offer or no : Trinity is also on top of my shortlist and QMUL and Manchester a little behind...

Come and join me in Edinburgh! I have been to E. for a couple days - it is a stunning and lively city which is full of young people and situated next to the sea. It benefits from many local amenities like shops, bars and restaurants and sports like golf and football.

The university has an excellent reputation and is settled in a beautiful historical building.

What do you think? If you have some questions do not hesitate to contact me.

Bye Mathias

I've been at Edinburgh for a year now and I absolutely love it. I'm originally from the US and am doing the 2 year graduate entry LL.B. If you have any questions about the city or about the law school, feel free to contact me.

Cheers.

hello everyone:)
I've been accepted to International Law programme in Edinburgh and I'm absolutely enchanted by the city! I hope to meet you there in Sept.
BTW do you know when we will be able to choose the courses? I haven't heard from the unversity since receiving an unconditional offer...

If I understood you right you will be in E. for at least another year. Maybe we could meet there. I will be in E. for from 30.6 - 2.8 to look for accomodation.
Do you have some good advice. I have searched the internet... (easyroommates, citylets, lettingweb).

Sorry. I do not know when we will be able to choose the courses. Maybe in the freshers week.
Do you have any idea where and how to live in E.?

Distance learning or oncampus - module choices work the same way!
Fri Jun 23, 2006 02:37 PM
Your choice will be entered in to the system during your meeting with the Director of Studies. These usually happen sometime in the first couple of weeks of September. This is a good time to discuss your options with someone who has a reasonable overview of ALL the classes on offer, and perhaps even talk with the tutors directly.

I'm not sure how it works accross all the LL.M programmes here at the School of Law, but in the LL.M Innovation, Technology and the Law (both on-campus [www.law.ed.ac.uk] and via distance learning [www.law.ed.ac.uk/distancelearning]) you are not required to finalise your choices until the end of the first teaching week. Prior to that time, you can, if you wish, sit in on classes other than your indicated preference and make a final change.

Any questions about the start of term on-campus you can direct to the School of Law's postgraduate office: 00 44 (0)131 650 2010 or law@ed.ac.uk.

Hope this is helpful, and please do come down and say hello and meet the distance learning project team here in the basement at the School of Law! Oh, and don't forget that we're always interested to hear from students who would like to help out on our journal, Script-ed, www.script-ed.org

Have a great summer and hope to see you in a few months.

C.

Hi MathiasW,
I've already rent a small studio flat in the city 2 weeks ago. I used Citylets site which is the best in my opinion. I managed to find a place just off the royal mile for a really good value. I would recommend Newington (close to university facilities) and Leith Walk (pubs and shops). I chose the city centre because I will need to find a part time job asap and it should be easier there... Good luck in searching for the flat and hope to see you at freshers week!
Cheers:)
