Hi everyone.

I wil be also part of the KCL class starting in September.

I am an Italian lawyer, 30, who decided to give his career a break after 5 years. I am interested in Finance courses and will be living in Notting Hill.

Why don't we make a list of us?

ps
I was admitted also to UCL and QMUL but opted for KCL, what about you?

I was wondering -- if you're interested in finance, why did you choose KCL over UCL? Good luck on your studies in september :)

hi.

i had a offer of ucl too, but i feel kings is kind of more known in germany. KCL was much quicker in terms of sending me the offer, and due to the fact that ucl does not give accommodation to EU postgraduates (not entirely sure but they say it on their website) and i received their offer after 30th june, which was the due date for applying, i chose kcl.
doesnt matter anyway, as you can take any course on any college. just the name behind the llm.
when will you arrive? i think i will attend the international introduction from 13th-15th sep already.

where will you live at notting hill? private accommodation?

see you guys soon

I have the same problem.

According to The Time and The Guardian league tables, UCL is better ranked (just behind Oxford and Cambridge).

But in Switzerland, KCL is more known than UCL.

Someone told me it is because Continental European people confuse Kings College London with Kings College which is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge (Cambridge is a collegiate university).

So I think I will choose UCL.

Funny to say mo but I've chosen KCL almost for the same reasons you did (they accepted me immediately and were kind enough to keep me updated) while UCL took 4 months before sending me an acceptance (in the meanwhile they just disappeared witthout replying to my updating requests).

I am landing in London on the 15 and didn't know there was this international introduction. Could you please lighten me about it?

Yes in Notting Hill I am having a private accomodation. I already lived in London in 1999

Hey Guys! I'm South African...mid twenties...currently working in Geneva but heading to London to join the rest of you at KCL in September! I'll be doing the International Business LLM and have been offered accommodation at Great Dover Street apartments but would have preferred Stamford Street coz its within walking distance from the Strand. I'll be at the Orientation session from 13 to 15 September so I look forward to hooking up with you guys there! Ciao!

Am from Kenya and have also opted for the LLM at KCL (Financial and Construction Law). I will be a resident at Connaught Hall. Any EAC or post ICSL BVC or Gray's Inn or Sheffield University candidates, please raise your hands so we can meet up. Convenient Common Room at Connaught available, with student prices! Hakuna Matata . . .

Hi all.
Any news from the College? I haven't received anything yet from London and last communication I got was posted in July.
Are you attending the orientation program the 15?

Hi Everybody,

If I may add to the discussion over KCL versus UCL LLM:

I have been in the same situation, actually I still am, because the deadline for me to decide between the two is today. So I wonder if any of you has tried to find an answer from the market. I did. I have contacted several recognised lawyers and the HR department of international law firms in Brussels where I have been working for the past couple of years and here is what they said over the big dilemma:

International law firms: DOESN'T MATTER REALLY, they are ranked the same. Oxford and Cambridge would be higher regarded though.

Recognised competition lawyer who is also lecturing competition law at several universities: GO TO KCL IF YOU WANT TO SPECIALISE IN COMPETITION LAW.

Since I will do competition law, I will go to KCL. So see you there this September.

Best,
Barbara
