Master in Business Law/ University of Geneva in Switzerland
I am interested in applying to the Master Degree in Business Law offered by the University of Geneva for the coming academic year (2007-2008)Fri Sep 01, 2006 04:40 PM The program looks great due to the fact that the courses are conducted in french and in english. Furthermore, it is possible to work as a legal trainee in a corporation, or a Multinational company etc during the second year of the program in Switzerland. I read on the web-site that the sponsors of the program offers internships to some of the MBL students. Is it truth or not? Does anyone know something about the program?\I am really interested to participate because The University of Geneva School of Law is considered as one of the best law school in Europe. it has a great reputation. |

Sat Sep 02, 2006 04:40 PM I am interested in applying to the Master Degree in Business Law offered by the University of Geneva for the coming academic year (2007-2008)A friend of mine, took part of the MBL program some years ago. According to him, the program is excellent. If you want to specialize in Corporate or Banking and Financial Law, then Geneva is a good choice . By the way, Duke University and the University of Geneva organize a summer Institute in Transnational Law every year. |

i took part of the MBL program 2 years ago. First of all you must take into account that all the courses are conducted either in french or in english. So, you must be fluent in both languages in order to be admitted to the program.Sat Sep 09, 2006 03:44 PM For me, studying at the University of Geneva has been an unbelievable experience, not only because of the great personal and professional quality of its professors but also because I had the possibility to meet people from different countries ( 60% of the students obtained their law degree in Switzerland and 40% come from all over the world). I also had the opportunity to work in one of the largest banking institutions during the second year of the program. by the way, there are some scholarships available for outstanding students. if you have further questions on this, please do not hesitate to contact me. |

I am interested in the program too. Since I have already studied in Geneva at the Law Faculty I can say that the faculty(teachers) there is one of the most impressive in Europe. Therefore, it should be an excellent program.Mon Feb 05, 2007 01:22 PM Pertaining to language skills, German is a geat advantage in Switzerland since it's the most spread language. |

Dear Giovanni, Mon Mar 19, 2007 07:35 PM I am really interested in this MBL of the University of Geneve. I would like to know further information about the scholarships you mentioned above, as the cost of living in Geneve is too high. Is there is any website where I could get the information about the scholarship? Is it difficult to get it? Thank you very much. Jonathan |

Hi there! I'm also interested in this programme. I'm fluent in Eng and French. The programme website seems to be quite descriptive except for one usual thing - there's no info on the proofs of language proficiency (TOEFL etc.). The University of Geneva needs no formal certificate evidencing sufficient knowledge of Eng and French? Sun Mar 25, 2007 08:31 PM Another question is deadlines. The website is silent on this. If I wanna apply for the programme which starts in the autumn of 2007, what deadline I am to meet? Many thanks. |

MBL
Hi thereFri Jul 13, 2007 09:14 PM I am a British qualified lawyer who is very interested in doing the Masters in Business law course at the University of Geneva. I would be grateful if any of you could advise me 1) Can this course totally be studied in English medium? Ie - If your French is not very good can you opt to do all the modules in English? 2) or is the course a combination of certain French modules and certain English modules? - its a compulsory requirement that certain modules are taught in English and certain in French My French is not very good. But i am really keen on doing this course. Thanking you befroe hand |
