New York Job Fair
Hey,Sat Sep 16, 2006 11:08 AM My name is Desire and I'm doing an LLM in International Business Pratice at McGeorge in Sacramento. Some poeple advise me to attend to the NY job fair this coming January since I have no experience at all from my home country. I want to know from someone participate last year could be my chances to get a job in my home country with US law firm or my chances to get a job in US after this job fair. By the way, I'm from Ivory Coast which is in western Africa. |

New York Job Fair
Hello Desire. I too will be attending McGeorge in the fall, though I will be starting out in Salzburg. I don't have any information on the job fair and am hoping that others can give some information. Also if anyone can give a sense of what the collaborative program is like I would love to know.

Hi - I (reluctantly) attended the NY job fair last this past january. there is also one a little later on the west coast. I don't know of anyone from my law school (university of texas) that received an offer - there must have been about 11 of us that went...maybe one person may have received an offer, but i can't say for sure. having said that, one friend had interviews at each time slot for both days and she also did not get an offer. I'd say it's pretty difficult. but it certainly can open doors - it just takes a little luck to be the darling a firm is looking for!Thu Jun 19, 2008 04:08 AM good luck!
