Choice of uni
Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:47 AM Hi everyone! If you were to choose between Trinity College Dublin, Edinburgh, Durham, Nottingham and Bristol where would you go?(for a general LLM or International LLM) Which has the best reputation? |

Sun Feb 18, 2007 12:39 PM ok, then i also can't be impartial - i'm doing my LLM in Trinity at the moment... Hahaha, thanks but the real choice for me is actually between Trinity and Ediburgh!!! As you're at trinity at the moment could you tell me how many lectures per week you have and how many students are on the same course? |

I don't have to be impartial.Sun Feb 18, 2007 09:24 PM I am teaching on a couple of postgrad law courses in Dublin and Edinburgh in the next couple of weeks. Both are great Universities in a Georgian setting. Trinity has a great international reputation and so does Edinburgh. I have a partially to Edinburgh as I did my LLM and PhD there-but what I would say as a matter of practicality is to have a good look at the courses of both places and who teaches on them-and instead of asking on here contact Trinity and Edinburgh for more information. Good Luck Dr. Alan Riley Director LLM Programme City Law School City University, London Electronic Mail: alan.riley.1@city.ac.uk |

hey, we have 3 exams each term - which means 6 lectures per weeek + there could be extra seminar classes.Wed Feb 28, 2007 03:29 PM there are ca. 70 of us alltogether, in some classes there might be 20 people, in others only 5 - it all depends on what subjects you've chosen to do. if you'll have further questions, feel free to ask. To Dr. Alan Riley - thanks for a great yesterday's lecture in Energy law, I've really enjoyed it especially taking into account the fact that I come from Belarus - one of the recent victims of Russian energy policy :). |

Edinburgh, Dublin or...?
SwedishBoy, have you followed Dr Riley's advice to contact Edinburgh or Trinity? if so, are you any closer to making a decision? it's always good to know.Mon Mar 05, 2007 03:56 PM If you're still interested in applying, you should apply to both, and continue your research whilst you're awaiting a verdict from them, the application deadlines are fast approaching. |
