NYU Decisions
Hi there- Anyone get any kind of decision from NYU@NYC?Sat Feb 03, 2007 02:51 PM The only news I got, is an email TODAY confirming my application is complete !! Finally! Ive sent everything by Dec.1st. Decisions are supposed to be made by or around April 1st. Anyone gat any news? Thanks!!! Good luck to all of u |

Hello!Sun Feb 04, 2007 04:12 PM I got my "complete" email on December 1st and I sent all my documents in 11/23/06. Up to now, no news. I am very anxious but I know that decisions will be made starting in March. Good luck to u! |

If you read last year's posts on NYU, you'll find that they started sending out decisions around March 15, but I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet - it might be different this year, it probably depends on the number of applicants.

I sent my application by the end of November but haven't received yet an e-mail confirming that my application has been completed. Mon Feb 05, 2007 06:49 PM Am I the only one? Everyone has gotten e-mails about the "completeness of their application" Thanks |

I haven't received any e-mail from NYU, either.Tue Feb 06, 2007 07:35 AM So I'm sure you are not "the only one" so far. The only that I can make sure of is that they have received all my transcripts as they have uploaded my transcripts upon the Attachments page of my online application. |

i got a mail from nyu telling me that my application is complete and ready for review though i sent my app long after the deadline. my friend who applied before me and within the deadline got his mail much later. so no clue how this works. i believe they have started rolling out the admissions. a friend of mine got accepted.

This is interesting because last year NYU declared all offers by Mid March (not on a rolling basis). The website still states:Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:15 PM "Decisions regarding the full-time LL.M. program in New York City will be communicated on or about April 1 to applicants with foreign education credentials who supply all materials necessary to complete their files by the December 1 deadline." Is NYU declaring results of the scholarships now as well? |

The website clearly states April 1. Also, because they have had to process all the NYU @NUS applications they are unlikely to be rushing to do rolling admissions for NYC applications. Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:34 PM "Decisions regarding the full-time LL.M. program in New York City will be communicated on or about April 1 to applicants with foreign education credentials who supply all materials necessary to complete their files by the December 1 deadline. Those foreign applicants who do not supply materials to complete their application by the December 1 deadline will receive decisions as they are made following completion of their file. All decisions for foreign applicants to the LL.M. program in New York City will be communicated by late June." |

I know quite a few people who have been accepted into the LL.M. for tax and two that have been accepted into the LL.M for international law.Thu Feb 08, 2007 07:01 PM I guess the decisions are coming out earlier this year. Who else has heard? |

I wonder how would they decide their scholarships if admissions are 'rolling' - how can you decide who will get it, if you havent reviewed all the applications. Or perhaps they would take these decisions later. Sigh! The mysteries of the admission process that we try to make sense of....

I think if you ticked both NYC and NUS then they would prioritise those applications so they can offer an NUS place. I think if you only ticked NYC they would put the application to the bottom of the pile

I called to check and see if they got last semesters grades b/c my file was on hold. THey said, yeah its with the review comittee .thats about it
