Thanks for that ricey....am just thinking of a hypothetical situation as Harvard is definitely a long shot. The problem being with the school Ive got admission is that they had stiff deadlines when it comes to scholarship and hence the problem.

"Dear LLM Applicants:

An email was sent out to you on February 22, 2006 stating that decisions
were going to be made by the 17th of March, 2006. This information is no
longer accurate. We are still in the process of reviewing applications
and decisions will not be made until the last week of March. We
appreciate your patience and understanding.

Decision letters will be sent to you the week of March 27th. You may call
our office for decision results beginning on March 29th.

With thanks,
Graduate Program"

THAT WAS THE TEXT OF THE EMAIL THAT CREATED QUITE A STIR LAST YEAR ON THIS WEB-SITE. IT WAS LABELLED THE "MAGIC" MAIL/TEST MAIL ETC - WITH THE SIGNIFICANCE BEING THAT ONLY A FEW RECEIVED IT - NOT ALL

- HAVE WE ALL RECEIVED IT??? CONSPIRACY THEORY AT WORK AGAIN EH..!!

Hi everyone, I have not received such email. Is there someone how have not received that email either?
By the way, we must be patient and wait.

Best wishes

I'm not sure if anyone would know this, but I was just wondering if HLS sends out both acceptance letters and rejection letters at the same time? That way by the end of this month, we will all know one way or the other. Any idea?

Even if you're not patient enough, you are entitled to call em after March 21st. They let you know.

Hi everyone. I wrote to HLS to ask them when decisions are going to be released, and have attached the reply below, for your reference...

____________________

I am writing to you in response to your e-mail requesting information regarding our admission decisions. I understand that you have received an admission and scholarship offer from NYU Law School.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a definitive answer before March 15, 2007. If you cannot get an extension until at least March 22, 2007, then I would have to advise you not to give up the scholarship package offered by NYU for the possibility of being admitted to Harvard Law School, especially since we will not be able to provide you with our financial aid decisions until early April.

I hope this will help you make an informed decision. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best for the coming year.

So, what are you going to do? I'm in a similar situation. I think I might have to accept either NYU or Columbia.

Hi. I emailed them on March 6, and I received the reply
on March 9.

Hi. I received the email from Sarine Der Kaloustian, although I sent my email to this email address: llmquery@law.harvard.edu.

I attach a more complete copy of the email below.

According to the current NYU website, Sarine Der Kaloustian seems to be at NYU... Check out the "searches & directories".
Weird.

There is a post on another thread with a positive reply from HLS to another admitted NYU applicant. Now that we know that some people have got a positive answer from HLS in a similar situation, it looks like the abovementioned email response from Ms Der Kaloustian may well mean a polite rejection. Does anyone know more about this?

I also tried to ask for an early decision and received exactly the same mail (...strongly recommend you not to give up your seat for the possibility of being admitted to Harvard...). This indeed seems to be a polite of rejection, especially now there is this post of someone who got a positive reply from HLS. On the other hand, there is also a post of someone who was told he wasn't admitted...

I would be grateful if anyone familiar with the HLS system could shed some light on:

(i) whether the Committee has already made the decision on the 2007/08 applications and now they are just getting the paperwork ready;

(ii) if not, then when this is likely to happen; and

(iii) is the decision formally made in respect of all of the applicants at the same time or de facto the decisions are made on a rolling basis and are only emailed on one date to all.

Thank you.

I doubt it'll be very organized --I should think it'll come on an ad hoc basis and by mail (not email) by the looks of it... I intend to wait till March 21 and call them thereafter

The question is whether HLS has made the decisions already and if not then when they do it.

It would be good hear from someone who is at HLS at the moment or someone with the knowledge of the issue.
