Hi
Anyone out there considering taking a Summer School program in American law? If so which one? Any suggestions?

The one in UC Davis was nice...it's four weeks with 3 in UC Davis and 1 in Berkeley (UC Davis borrows the campus from UCB). It's not cheap, but food and dorm is included. Davis was a nice little town. There also were field trips to courts, prisons, and also Lake Tahoe (this one was purely recreational). Covers almost all aspects of US law, but never in depth.

I am considering going for the CLS summer prog at Amsterdam this year - I have been told it helps you with the LLM experience in as much as it gets you back into the groove of being a student again... any 1 else heading to CLS considering it??

I went to high school in Davis as an exchange student. It's a small university town somewhere between Sacramento and San Francisco. Not exactly exciting but ideal to concentrate on a summer program. It's a good starting point for trips to Yosemite Park, Lake Tahoe, Reno (the "little sister" of Las Vegas), and of course the Bay area. Don't forget to try the "Redrum" Burger, the most popular hamburger in town (formerly known as the "Murder" burger).
