I completely agree with Toni: was admitted by both Duke and Michigan and if I had to choose between the two I wouldn't have any doubts in terms of Michigan being perceived (and I repeat: Perceived) as more prestigious in my country.

I think in academia Michigan is more well-known. I guess it depends on your area. James Hathaway at Michigan, for example, is THE name in refugee law.Wed Mar 28, 2007 09:59 PM Duke, on the other hand, is known as "The Harvard of the South". Whatever that means. It will be warmer at Duke. Michigan will be freeeeeezing. I don't think you can go wrong really but I would tend to go with Michigan. |
