Hey everyone!

I checked today my mail box. I got the letter of acceptence from university for European business law.

Besides, maybe you checked the status of application for the housing??In my application it is only marked that they recieved my application but nothing more..What about you??

Hey Maktub,

Maybe these words won't raise up your mode, but probably other way is waiting for you. There is always others solutions how to realize yourself, so don't stop and don't give up!

Hi Maktub,
I'm applying to different LLM programs since 2005:) Some universities didn't accept my applications, others did but I couldn't go for financial reasons. Of course, I was really sad at that time. But there is always a way to get through problems like that. I can tell you only one thing, I'm so happy that I didn't succeed because I gained work experience and maturity. And never forget this: "tough situations don't last, but tough people do"

Thanks for the encouraging words. Actually, I was quite relieved when I got the e-mail. Don’t get me wrong, I was sad too, naturally. However, not having an answer was much worse. I was quite annoyed for “having” to check my e-mail all the time looking for any news from Sweden.

I got admitted into the other LLM I applied for (in the Netherlands). I asked them to defer my admission and therefore I’m already admitted for their programme next year. Had I been admitted to Lund, I would definitely leave this year, but since that’s not the case, I’ve decided to wait a bit longer.

By the way, “Maktub” is an Arabic saying. It means "It was written!". If this LLM didn’t work out, other opportunities will come. It’s all about faith guys! And hard work, of course. ;)

PS: If any of you have a chance, please tell the staff at the Faculty of Law that they could be a bit more communicative with the applicants! :D

I got my letter as well....
Maktub, It's very sad, that you aren't admitted, but the girls are right, maybe You have other way to find yourself. I think the LLM in the Netherlands is very good either, the country is beautiful, so you didn't lost anything.....
(However It is to be regreted, that we will not be classmates in Lund)
So I haven't find any job yet in Sweden, and I'm going to be alittle nervous about it. I have no financial background, but i will start my studies by any means... So it will be a busy summer.... :)

Hello Maktube, Esther and everybody,

I hope you're all fine.
Well, I have just received an e-mail from a friend who is a student at Lund HR and he told me he saw the list and I am not in....
Lund has been the only universtiy I've applyed for, but I am ok. It's the first time I am trying a LLM and I won't give up. I am sure I am going to succeed, I'll just have to wait a bit longer.
Maktub, I hope you have the best time in the Netherlands. You seem to be a very nice person and deserve it.

I think You should apply for more than one university. And don't give up!!! You have now experiences in the applying process , it will stand in good stead. I'll cross my finger for you!!!

@Alessandra: I'm sorry to hear you've not been admitted. As to me, I'm not going to the Netherlands, at least not this year. I'll stay home and apply calmly for LLM's next year. You seem to be a very nice person too and I wish you nothing but the best. If you'd like to talk more about LLM's (that would be nice) you know how to find me.

Hey everybody,

What ever will be, always everything just goes how must be!!So don't give up!!I really glad that people in this chat are so reasonable and understanding!!!

Besides, Maktub, if I don't get the scholarship in Sweden, I will go to the Netherlands this year because they gave for me 300eur scholarship per month, so it is better for me than everything to finance by myself.

Cigdem, did you get some news from SI regarding scholarship?

Hi Doratukss,
I got an e-mail 2 days ago stating that I got the scholarship. But I think that if you didn't receive anything, it's normal since it's an other type of scholarship. I think that the mail was sent from a person working at the embassy in my country. I guess this person is only dealing with applications from Turkey. And don't forget that it is written on the website of the uni that they will contact us even if the response is negative.

Actually, I'd like so much to get the scholarship!!!!!!!But it seems to me that I won't....Ech...My coordinator wrote that they still don't know the outcome from SI, so I still hope:)

I believe that you have big chances of getting the scholarship, because you simply really want it! When we really wish to obtain sth or achieve a goal, when we give this energy to the universe, it really becomes true.

Maktub, if I don't get scholarship in Sweden (what would be really sad), I will be studying in Tilburg university (Netherlands), so if you have some questions in a year, it will be my pleasure to help you. Anyway, I want to come back to Sweden, so I hope to get this scholarship..

Don't worry about it. I only took one Human Right class in University. I don't know that much either. I am having a hard time working here because everybody knows so much and I was basically clueless when I got here. This is only my second day at work, but I really like it. Everything is so interesting.
We will study together and we will help each other.
I can't wait to meet all of you guys!

Did anyone receive a a positive answer from the housing office? My application status is still "received" and its June yet. If I have to find a privite accomodation, I should try finding one..... I know , I'm too inpatient, but I have to arrange so many things before moving to Lund....

Hy everybody,

First of all, hope you are doing well. I got the scholarship, so I am really coming to Lund. Satine, I am as well as didn't get meanwhile any answer from IHO. I think we still need to wait it should be clear in July, no earlier. Beside,s I have a question. Will you send your diploma in original or you will send diploma which is confirmed by notary?I don't remeber how it is required and the information about documents is removed from website.

You have to send a copy confirmed by a notar, because they don't send back any documents.
I got an emal from the IHO, the last date of decision is end of June... so still waiting... :-((
No job yet, no scholarship, but I try to enjoy the summer!!! :-)
