Have to make a choice between NYU with no aid and UCLA with partial grant. How are the two comparable in terms of rankings? How do the firms in California look at foreign attorneys vis-a-vis indian attorneys? Any idea? Guess Ivan and Flygirl would be some of the few best people to respond.

Currently, NYU is #4 and UCLA is #15. I think that, apart from general rankings, your specialization/ future plans should be taken into account. Would you mind sharing this with us?

No idea about how Indian lawyers do in CA...

Hey, Lawyer! I was exactly at the same situation as you and I finally chose NYU over UCLA. In my case, besides my area of specialization (International Law), personal reasons also played a significant role in my final decision, but I definitely don't regret it.

When did you get your partial grant? Simultaneously with the acceptance notice or afterwards? What is the toatal amount of the grant?
