I have been accepted to both BU and Denver LLM tax programs and am trying to decide which to attend. Does anyone have any advice? I have received mixed reviews from my professors.

Prob depends on where you want to practice to some part. (+) I've heard Denver is big on job placement, but
(-) really big on the accounting (math) side of taxation.

If ranking means anything to you denver is #12 vs. #6 BU. I think probably after the top 3, ranking doesn't matter too much.

What are your thoughts on BU? (I also got in BU) Do you have other apps still pending?

well, probably want to be on the east coast, but really can be anywhere, so still up in the air. So far the decision is between BU and Denver, but still waiting on Georgetown and Florida - grades probably aren't good enough for Florida, but Georgetown would be nice. What about you? Are you planning on attending BU?

What makes you think Florida is more selective than Georgetown for their tax LLM? I know people who were rejected by GT, but accepted to UF (one of them was even offered a full ride at UF).

If I were you and wanted to end up on the East Coast, I would go to BU rather than Denver. Honestly, I don't know much about Denver, but I have heard some good things about BU's program.

I'm still waiting on a decision too, but I'll probably end up going to BU. I didn't apply to UMiami or UF, but I didn't think UFwas much more selective than GT. I was somewhat regretting not applying to UF, considering it's weight in the tax field, but I just can't see myself going there. I mean, I think it's biggest draw for applicants (which probably has the effect of boosting its rank so high) is that the cost of education is state subsidized.

My only reason for believing Florida to be more selective is based on conversations with my professors.
