Hi, my name is Grisselle. I'm panamenian. I'm 23 years old. I'm interested in getting a Master in Maritime Law and I want to apply for the academic year 2008-2009. I have been thinking in National University of Singapore.
I need information. I want to know how hard is to get in one of these schools, what are their requirements and their quality. If you can suggest me other options, go ahead :)
By the way, I forgot to tell you that right now I'm working on my thesis, I don't have working experience and my school mark (grade) is 2.55/3.00. Could I be consider?

all I have left to say is that whilst I am not a proponent of pound-llewellyn formalism in terms of teaching, I do object to any methodical, mechanical approch to a curriculum. But again the subjectivity of this position can never be generalised, we all deal with pressures differently.

habermas calls for public discourse to legitimise the internal relation between law and democracy. prospective students should search for a climate where this is made possible. Being accepted into cantab I am glad that my institution scarcely adopts a passive role in forming developing legal principle and jurisprudence. I hope the same for NUS.

Do Magic circle firms hold the distinction in high regard? Maybe, i'm not a recruiter and therefore not in a position to comment. but this is certainly thought provoking and I believe NO one can answer this question in to affirmative or negative which is itself a response worth assimiliating.
It is unfortunate that International law firms operations are also ALMOST non existent in s'pore.

Finally, with regard to Asia NUS is probably regarded in high esteem. But your empirical yardstick is quite misleading considering the countries that surround it.I on the other hand believe that Melbourne, Usyd, a stone's throw away perhaps if you take a direct flight, would be a venture worth very penny.
