CUHK LLM (Common Law) - good choice?
Tue Jun 12, 2007 07:54 AM
Hi everyone ~

I applied for JD and finally I got an offer of LLM (Common Law) last week. I am now considering whether I should take it or not.

I have a BSocSc & a MSc. No LLB or law background.

Is it too “academic” and “not practical” enough?
Is it tough for a non-law student to study LLM?
Is it too focus for an amateur law student to take a LLM in Common Law?
What’s the use of a LLM alone?
Do you think it’s worthwhile (80K for whole program) to take this offer?

I know I have too many questions here… haha.
Just hoping that the current/intending LLM/JD student or anyone with regarding experience can help me out for the above queries.

A MILLION THANKS :)
