Canada is really crap for academic programs in tax law - you would be better off doing a US LLM.

LLM IN TAX LAW
What does anybody think my chances of getting into a top 5 program are? I am top 7% from a tier 4 law school, law review, A in Federal Income Tax, some tax expierence at a Summer Associate position after my 2L year. Any advice would be great!

Donnie1: Fri Nov 09, 2007 11:29 PM IMHO, you should have a real good shot at #4 and lower. As far as #1-#3 goes, has your school ever placed someone in one of those programs? (Ask your professors.) If so, did they perform well in the LLM program? T4's place their students at GT and FL all the time, but alot has to do with how academically rigorous the admissions committee percieves your school's "top 7%" to be. I think that NY is a longshot. |
