Hey Ketki, Sat Aug 18, 2007 04:42 PM I will be applying to Upenn this year. Had registered on their site and requested a brochure last week, havent received it as yet. am not too sure if the dates have come out. Will let you know if i come to know of it. What course are you planning to apply for? |

Thank you guys .............hey there's one more thing.........My college hasnt provided me with my exact rank .......what alternative should i try as the rank is not reflected on the transcript ?

Hi ketki....Tue Aug 21, 2007 06:44 PM No need to worry, there are many universities which do not provide the class ranking. You ca submit a certificate from your university stating that the university does not provide the class rank. Even some of US law school's websites states that you need not even give explanation about it because they receive so many applications from different universities and they know very well which university issue class rank or not. I have read the same at one of the law school website (not able to remember the same). Other universities require a certificate from the universities in this regard. The law schools try to get an idea from your marks & your profile. Even my university does not provide the class rank. Moreover, where are you from? which country & which university? regards |

Hi guys, I'd also like to be there next year.Wed Aug 22, 2007 07:06 PM About class rankings Jaideep, does it suffice if the professor roughly state the class raking in the rec letter, if the university does not issue such certificates? |

I agree with Jaideep, not all universities have rankings officially declared. That being said, (to nina's query) it will be great if your prof's reco letter identifies you in the top 5- 10% of your class. does anyone have a clue about the deadlines for submissions?

Hey Optimistic. I too have applied to UPenn. Havent heard from anyone about the results, i believe they start sending out acceptance letters close to the month's end. As you might know, 8th Feb. is the date mentioned before which they will get in touch, for early apps. of course.
