Re: LL.M. IT Law
Are you only interested in European programs? In the US there a some high-level IT programs, e.g. Boalt Hall (Berkley) in San Francisco and George Washington University. I think the EULISP brings together the best European universities in this field. You do not necessarily have to participate in the EULISP exchange program if you want to study at one of the universities taking part in EULISP.

Hi Nikolas,Sun Jan 23, 2005 03:04 AM I would go actually to European universities not really to USA. I suppose the EULISP is a Porgram with a nice structure, going to different countries, at least thats how I understand the textes. You know more 'bout this porgram personnaly? |

Hi majda!Mon Jan 24, 2005 04:06 PM I couldnt find a comprehensive english site on the EULISP either, it used to be in English on the Haniver page also but now it appears a broken link. You can find information in English on websites of Norway www.uio.no/studier/program/ictlaw-master/presentas… and Stockholm www.juridicum.su.se/iri/masterIT/ Also, you can check all the participating university links: www.eulisp.de Hope this helps! Re: LL.M. IT Law
I attended the LL.M in Information Technology & Telecommunications Law at Strathclyde University in Glasgow (UK) during the academic year 2002/2003.Fri Apr 15, 2005 03:24 AM The program is directed by Professor Ian Lloyd, one of maximum international expert in the field of IT&T law. It's presence is a guarantee of the quality of the course and of its marketability later on. It's the older program in IT&T of Europe. It's been on since 1994/5. All the other Uk programs on the same subject followed. I guess it's the best program available in Europe. Scotlad as u know it's an amazing place. Glasgow is a pretty nice lively industrial city. It's not Edinburgh, indeed, but, as of clubs, pubs, locals and enjoyments in general, it's definitly better. The city has 4 University (Glasgow Univ, Strathclyde, Caledonian and ...dont remember :-)) and most part of downtown population is composed by students. As all the big city, but in a peculiar way in respect of the rest of Scotland, the are some security risk and certain areas have an high density of criminal acts (East End). Stratclyde University is very well organised place of "paceful learning", as they say, with broadband connection to the univ LAN and the Internet in any univ. room (and a wifi connection too all over the university), nice sport facilities and quite (it depends ;-) on the previous drinking night :-)) friendly staff. As u understood or may immagine, drinking is an habit of the Scottish people and of this city in particular. It could be somehow unpleasant as 3 days a week the city after 9pm is complety drunk :-). Anyway there is a huge international community in Strathclyde campus and life with them is enjoyable. If u are not Scottish mingle with them it's a complicate matter, apart from peculiar individuals standing out from the rest. They r very polite at a first approach and willing to a relationship in surface but if u ll try deepening the acquantancies u ll come to meet resistent barriers. Understandeble id u think their history and their ethnical beckground...their r not latin for sure If u r interested I'll be happy to give u more detailed info on the program, univ., city and accomodation issues. Hoping to have been of some help GCF |

Re: Re: LL.M. IT Law
In the Netherlands several IT/ICT and Law masters exist. Although there focus differs there are such masters in Groningen University (Law & ICT), Amsterdam University (Information Law) and Tilburg University (Law & Technology). I do however not know whether the Amsterdam (www.ivir.nl) and Groningen masters are in English or Dutch. The Tilburg Master 'Law & Technology' is in English (see, www.tilburguniversity.nl/prospectivestudents/maste…).

Re: LL.M. IT Law
Have a look at University of Edinburgh School of Law's LL.M Innovation, Technology and the Law. It is available both by distance learning (applications open until August for 2005 entry) and on-campus (applications closed for 2005 entry).Wed Jun 22, 2005 03:18 PM This programme has a very good mix of IT related legal subjects and deals with the interface with Intellectual Property and Medical Ethics and Law. More information can be found at www.law.ed.ac.uk |

@ Finnish Girl: I'm from Hannover. Unfortunately, I don't have detailed knowledge concerning the EULISP programme, but if you want to know anything about Hannover in general, feel free to contact me.Wed Jun 22, 2005 05:17 PM @all: I've just tried, and they seem to have fixed the broken link: www.eulisp.de @Colin: I also like the Edinburgh programme, but get back to the UK section anyway, don't try and steal Hannover's students ;-) Cheers Nicky [Edited 08 Aug 2007 by Nicky] |
