I don't see why not, but maybe not at the same time!

though it is possible to have two LL.Ms, yet it should be more advisable to pursue SJD if you already have LL.M from USA.

There is no limitation to the amount of LLM degrees you would like to obtain (asides from tuition costs, living expenses, opportunity costs and time).
I am not a big fan of SJD programs myself, but they are also an option. In fact, if you intend to go back to your home country, an SJD from a good US Law School is an impressive credential to go into academia.
If you intend to stay in the US, though, you will see that they are not very impressive for US employers.
Good luck.

Dear all,
I am considering to go for a second LLM: first one I got was in Europe, second one would be in the US. I would like to have s.o.'s opinion on pursuing a second LLM: is it just losing time and money? My idea is to learn sth about US law and take the bar, while deepening my knowledge of law and economics that I got from my first LLM. An alternative would be to go for a PhD, but it would cost even more in terms of money and time spent after it. I think I would have a very good chance to get into Chicago or Columbia. I was already waitlisted with Cornell back when I applied for my first LLM, and would also have good chances with Vanderbilt, taking into consideration what they told me when I wrote to them.
Any comments?

Yes, Vanderbilt has a dual degree program - law and Ph.D in Economics. being one of the top law schools, Vanderbilt will surely be a good choice for you.
