Columbia Early Review
Hi everyone!Wed Nov 21, 2007 02:04 AM Since deadline has come and gone for application to Columbia's early review process, I would like to know who suceeded in applying through this choice. Last year results started to come out early December, and there was even a rejection as soon as November 30. As for me, I applied through the early review and hopefully expect to hear from them soon. |

I did succeed! Regarding results in early December, I hope you're right...(they say that results will be avaliable late that month) Do you know if they send you an e-mail of acceptance/rejection or you just have to wait for regular mail?

reviewing the posts from last year, it seems that we won't get any news before the end of December. Mon Dec 03, 2007 05:14 PM I am a French student and I also applied in the early review. I've already applied last year and got rejected. Though I redid the whole application, they told me that my previous material would be reviewed as well... Let's hope that Santa Claus will be generous with me this year! |

Wed Dec 05, 2007 04:42 PM Can't wait any longer!!!! It crossed my mind too. Anxiety is killing me! However, I think they must be pretty busy processing all the applications. Besides, their instructions clearly asserts that: "Admissions decisions for the Early Review Program are made by the end of December. Applicants will either be accepted, rejected or deferred to the regular admission cycle. All other admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, in most cases no later than early May". So, maybe CLS is sticking to its timeline this year! But I estimate they will be sending out results by the end of next week...(just wishful thinking though). |

Nothing yet. Just waiting and praying not to lose hope.Thu Dec 06, 2007 11:47 AM It seems there is no pattern in CLS decisions (as to send admissions first and then e-mail rejections). Actually, decisions were made randomly last year all through December. So, IMHO, we don't need to worry and go desperate until we get the e-mail. But I am also curious whether or not someone else got admitted. Anyone? Daverod? |

Hey I got an email yesterday too. Does such an early response mean anything at all? Also, can anyone tell me what Columbia is like when it comes to financial aid? I'm a policy research consultant from India and that exchange rate is a killer. I submitted my online application by November 8th, but the materials would have reached them by the 12th.
