It certainly was a magnificent Christmas present; thank you!

I'm a 28 year old lawyer who has been working for 5 years with communication/telecommunications regulations and antitrust law. I'm about to obtain a Master of Laws and a MBA Degree here in Brazil and have some articles published.

My best wishes to those who are still to receive a decision!

As some other Europeans seem to be waiting for the decision: it shouldn't take long until you get an answer: I received a call about 3 hours ago and then an email confirming my admission. I'm from Switzerland, currently employed at a court.

Good luck to all of you.

congratulations! Demi

Good luck! Maow

on a lighter note, is it a routine with CLS to call first and then email. if that is true, one might as well stop worrying with the inbox and wait for the ring!

Congrats Psag! Where are you from?

I have no idea about the financial aid, since I did not apply for it.

Have anyone heard about persons in the past who were successful in admission through regular cycle following deferral notices of early review?

A friend of mine was deferred to the regular cicle and admitted thereafter. Unfortunately in the meantime he had already accepted the offer of UPenn and, since he didn't want to lose $ 500 he went there.

Well are any of you guys awaiting reply from Columbia yet? I haven't heard from them so does it call for concern?

They might be going regionwise since (according to this blog) the first ones getting the responses were the guys from South America, then there was the girl from Switzerland and a guy from England and me from Italy (i.e., Europe).
But, of course, this is just my impression from what I have red in this blog, nothing more.

As we say here "in bocca al lupo" (i.e., finger crossed) lawadd08.

Yes Johanna, I am. In the last few days, I have developed a very peculiar obsession which consists in refreshing my email's inbox every 5 minutes ;)

Hi,

I am from South America (Peru).
They probably are not sure of what to do with us, right?
I'm starting to become desperate! I simply need to know!
Where are you from?

To all admitted through an early review:

Would you tell us your backgrounds such as GPA, TOEFL score, professional experience, etc if possible, so that people awaiting a decision or defered to a regular process could estimate our chances? Thanks in advance.

I got the early decision offer, but no financial aid.

I also got an offer from NYU@NUS, with 35K financial aid. So I will need about 16K only for Singapore. For Columbia I will need 65K+. What would you people suggest for an optimal choice?

Currently I am well placed in India, have two years work exp.

Hi everybody!
I got an email 2 days ago informing me that I have been deferred to the regular pool. I think one of the reasons is that I don't have a work experience yet. I'm 24 and currently enrolled in a master.
