I received the second e-mail on Dec 6, and no more news since then… but I think I’m out… I’ve got a 24 at the speaking section of TOEFL iBT (although my grades at the other subsections are pretty good)…

Is there any way to make personal queries to Harvard?

Has some one have a contact in Harvard who actually read and answer e-mails?

Seems to me that there is zero personal attention, and we have to wait until some one remembers our application.

Any comments?

Waiting is the name of the game at this part of the application process... we all went thru it last year and unfortunately, there's no human way they could handle a ton of personal inquiries at this point.

If you do get in though, and hopefully you will, you'll get bombarded with personal attention from all the Graduate Program staff :)

Can someone share with us the body of the e-mail sent by Harvard stating that the application is complete?

I sent my application 3 months ago, and haven’t received that e-mail yet.

Thanks

I received an e-mail today saying that my application is currently incomplete because one of my transcripts is missing. I will send it in the next days.

Well Kovac I received an identical mail.. However that was just some misunderstanding on their part which I clarified..

Would anyone is HLS already rolling out decisions? or when will it begin to?

I think the second email said you can expect a decision in March 08. That is, the 'application complete' email. Best of luck.

I’m also waiting for that second e-mail, I can say by now that there is no possible way to receive answers to personal queries by Harvard faculty staff.

No, don't worry. I had sent my application in early november, received my 1st e-mail around the 10th of November and got my second e-mail a few days ago. So don't worry.

I have received the 1st email but I'm waiting for the email providing that my appliction is complete...I can't wait...
My recommendation letters were sent 10 days after the application deadline (10 december) do you think that this could explain my situation...
tks

Just to let you know that yesterday I received the 2nd mail providing that my application is complete.
Now we will have to wait until March to know about decisions.

Ciao

Would anyone know whether HLS has begun absorbing students for the LL.M program? or Do they announce their results only post March?

Anyone,was your second email along this lines......i received this from HLS;

The Graduate Program Admissions staff has reviewed your file and has determined that it is complete. [Please note that decisions regarding TOEFL and fee waiver requests will be communicated to you in a separate email, if applicable.]

NOTE: Occasionally, we may request additional materials pertaining to your application (for example, original foreign language versions of transcripts, if applicable; additional transcript(s) from school(s) you have listed on your CV but not on your application materials); if so, we will notify you via e-mail. Any materials that you submit at our request will not be considered 'late'.

We regret that we are unable to accept updated CVs/resumes, revisions to personal statements, or new recommendation letters. [FYI: We welcome new TOEFL scores when available; please be sure to have ETS send us your report as soon as it is available.]

For applicants currently enrolled in a degree program:

If you have receives fall and/or winter grades and/or a transcript for the degree that is to be completed in 2008, please send it to us as soon as it is available.

Admission decisions will be made by late March 2008; you will be notified of your decision via the mailing address for all correspondence that you have provided on your application. If your preferred address should change between now and the time of admissions decisions, please reply to this e-mail with your preferred address.

If you should have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Your e-mail is important to us, and will be answered as soon as we are able. Due to the high volume of e-mails, please anticipate delays.

i also received the second e-mail as post above lately. what annoyed me is that i presumed that i cannot provide any additional materials to HLS after my application last December, since my original recomendation was not as persuasive as i expect to be. hope the second e-mail meaned something to me...

Is there anyone who hasn’t received the second e-mail from Harvard and was admitted last year in to the LLM program?

Everybody who did apply within the deadline should receive the 2nd email.
In addition, I've been told that receiving it has nothing to do with being admitted or rejected it is just a confirmation that your file is complete and ready to be reviewed.
So, it is just a matter of days before you will find the above posted message in your inbox (providing that, as I'm sure of, you have submitted correctly all the application materials).

Thanks so much Miki for your answer,

I’m worried because I applied since October, and no 2nd mail yet (a lot of applicants who applied later than me, already received the second e-mail).

I guess I have to wait a little more.
