you deserve to be congratulated for having been accepted at two of the most prestigious law schools, not only in USA, but also in the world. therefore, the choice should simply rest with comparing the cost;

The student body and Faculty at NYU should be lucky in having a bright scholar like you amongst them.

Dear All
Just to remind that, LL.M. In IP. Law at Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago Kent is an excellent one. Prof.Dinwoodie, the program director, is one of the best US. IP Law professors.

Hi All!!

Congratulation to everybody who has got through....

As you guys have already gone through the admission process and have knowledge about the Law colleges as well...Pls guide me...which law colleges are better to go for LLM besides Chicago Kent. What are the scholarships available at different universities and eligibilty for those scholarship...

Any suggestion/information would be a great help to me..

Hello
Is anyone applying to BU Law for their securities/banking program. Has anybody got financial assistance from BU this year or had their interview? If so any tips for the interview? I am keen on securities law. Did my LL.B, from India and have since moved to Canada where I have been working in the securities industry for about 10 years.

Till now I have got an admission in Georgetown and Melbourne Law School. I am confused as to which School to go for (for commercial laws)......so pls advise me on the basis of the following:

1. I am not keen on spending so much for Georgetown(though no doubt its a gr8 school), cause unfortunately for an International Student, on a average scene, GT does not sell in the US legal market. (No disrepect meant for GT or its students....but facts are facts.)

2. I am very interested in working in Australia or Asia (Singapore etc.) and I feel that MLS would sell pity in this part of the world.

3. I agree that the quality of admission in US is the best, but I have to keep in mind the cost factor, since I will be going on a loan. (If I got through CLS then I would have without any hesitation gone to US, but unfortunatley that did not happen)

4. I amn still awaiting decisions for NYU, NYU@NUS and UPENN. If I get through any of them, then I guess I might have more options. (though as per my research andf knowledge even NYU does not work for an International Student in the US firms). I dunnow much abt UPENN though....

So given the above, please advise me, what works best for me....Till now I have more or less made up mind on MLS....

By the ways I have about 3 yrs of work ex in a top law firm of India.

All advise will be extremely helpful.

Hi Sonali

All the law schools listed in the list of usnews.com and approved by ABA are good schools;

The LL.M program is costly if one has to pay all the tuition and expenses; therefore, you should make an effort to negotiate for a good scholarship.

Some scholarship, at least partial tuition fee waiver, is available, in almost all the top 60 tier I law schools. you may more particularly look at : Vanderbilt, WUSL, UMN, AU-WCL, TULANE, SMU, CWRU, CARDOZO, TEMPLE, UCON, KENT,

The list is long and one need to search and scan the information available on website of each school;

better you start applying one by one; making a list as per deadline of the schools. it is already quite late; you may have to be really smart to be in time.
