Vanderbilt University Law School is another good school, but comparatively lesser discussed in India, having a provision for financial assistance for international students. Applications are still being accepted.

Yeah almost, decided upon Upenn, Columbia, NYU, Kings, UCL and few more. I am just hoping I get through any of these, competition seems to be pretty tuff for these big names. How about you? Any work-ex?

Thanks. I will finally decide based upon ranking of the school and/or the financial assitance available. The latest in the series I have applied is Vanderbilt. The highest ranked admission so far is from Washington Univ St Louis.

Hi CARTY

In my opinion USA seems to be a better option. Secondly, a decision may for some people also depend upon availability of scholarships, for which USA provides more opportunities.

I have recently noticed a joint degree program - Law and Ph.D in Economics at Vanderbilt University. You need to check up if it is JD & Ph.D in Economics OR LL.M and Ph. D in Economics.

Hello. I took to tour of Vanderbilt and the law school when I was in Nashville last September. For those of your considering Vanderbilt for an LL.M, I can say the campus is beautiful and that the law school has excellent facilities. For the JD, I think Vanderbilt is now ranked 16 or 17 in the entire US. Nashville is a vibrant city, and cost of living is very reasonable compared to New York or LA.

I wonder why all the Indian applicants are notified probably much later than the others about the admission decisions. Like Upenn , Duke, Nyu , nyu@nus has already started rolling out deicisions, but I dont think any Indian aplplicant has been informed till date.

As a result what can happen is that some particular schools , if they admit yoyu, expect you to expect their offer within an extremely short span of time. The consequences being that as you are unaware of the decision of other schools by that time(which are on ur priority list), you land up confirming your admission in the school which is not on ur top priority.
.....what do u guys have to say ?

Hello all.. i m ron from india. and i have applied to most of the law schools you people are discussing about.i applied during the second week of december so i guess admission decisions are going to b made only after the winter break. KVC IMHO i think the schools take up the application on a region wise basis and also most of the applicants i ve talked to applied during the first week of november so they all qualify for the early review.

Hi!
I applied to Georgetown, Penn law and NYU@NUS.
Till now i have received acceptances from Georgetown and NYU@NUS. Awaiting Pennlaw and theirs should be due by feb 8th. But NYU@NUS wants our acceptance by 12th jan. I guess I gotta weigh whole lotta factors now.. but im totally sold to Georgetown as of now!! How abt others here?? How are you making ur final decisions??
