Congratulations.!
Georgetown is no doubt one of the best law schools.
I would take a final decision depending upon three factors - subject/stream choices available, school rank and the scholarship amount.

TO RIDDHI26

first of all, applications will not affect your job prospects;

if you are not very sure of admissions in the schools you have applied, and if you are looking for funding also, you should better apply to a few more schools; like VANDERBILT, WUSL, CWRU, SMU, AU-WCL, TEMPLE, CARDOZO to name a few.

Hi
I've applied to NYU@NYC, I can login into the admitted students section, however, I have not received the offer letter from them yet. I was wondering if anyone from India has received any from them communication yet.

So did I, but the admit card does not mention anything about scholarship. Does that mean that my application for scholarship has been unsuccessful?

Applied to NYU just before deadline in regular. NYU advised on 29th Feb that application is complete and will take time for final outcome.

Also applied to GWU who tell me that they will finalise by around end April.

Meantime exploring about eligibility to sit in NY Bar Exam without LL.M. and have separately sought help and guidance if anyone in my situation has experienced and done some exercise with NY Bar office to confirm eligibility. Indian being a common law country and degree is after 3-years class room study. LSAC has determined eligibility but not very sure about NY Bar Office to sit in Bar Exam.

Pl help and guide if anyone has done some exercise with NY Bar office.

Thanks

hey, even I am an Indian law student looking for an llm in international trade in the 2009-2010 term... I would really appreciate some advice on the following aspects:
i. As I have an equal interest in pursuing intellectual property & competition law, I was wondering which college offers the best electives? Also which have the best professors/job market?
ii. What is the job market for international trade law llm graduates in EU? I am saying EU on account of the fact of avoiding the Bar in the US.
iii. Any specific reason why NYU should be preferred over, say, Georgetown?

I hope you guys can help me out..
