For those of your considering Vanderbilt for an LL.M, I can say the campus is beautiful and that the law school has excellent facilities. For the JD, I think Vanderbilt is now ranked 16 or 17 in the entire US. Nashville is a vibrant city, and cost of living is very reasonable compared to New York or LA. Like Upenn , Duke, Nyu , nyu@nus has already started rolling out deicisions,but I dont think any Indian aplplicant has been informed till date. As a result what can happen is that some particular schools , if they admit yoyu, expect you to expect their offer within an extremely short span of time. The consequences being that as you are unaware of the decision of other schools by that time(which are on ur priority list), you land up confirming your admission in the school which is not on ur top priority. .....what do u guys have to say ? NYU advised on 29th Feb that application is complete and will take time for final outcome. Also applied to GWU who tell me that they will finalise by around end April. Meantime exploring about eligibility to sit in NY Bar Exam without LL.M. and have separately sought help and guidance if anyone in my situation has experienced and done some exercise with NY Bar office to confirm eligibility. Indian being a common law country and degree is after 3-years class room study. LSAC has determined eligibility but not very sure about NY Bar Office to sit in Bar Exam.
