Hi all,

My online application status turned from complete to decision yesterday, but I haven't received any e-mails or decision letters yet. Should this be a good or bad sign that the Admissions Committee reached so soon a decision?

It states that: "The Admissions Committee has reached a decision on your application. If you have not already received our correspondence, your decision letter should arrive by mail within a week to ten days".

Has anyonelse's status turned to "decision" too? I hope it takes less then a week for he letter to get here. It is an agonizing wait...

I sent all my application materials on October 15th and got the completeness e-mail on October 24th. Last night my application status turned to decision but I haven't heard from them yet.

Let's hope you right and it is a good sign!

Regards!

I also received that info yesterday. My mailing address is my home in Venezuela (I obviously made a mistake there) and that means that any letter arrives here with two months of delay! Today I decided to ask Georgetown if they can let me chage it to my brother's address in the US. Hope they can do that, I want to read that letter ASAP.

They usually inform the decision by e-mail followed by hard copy. In your case, you may make it specific and request them to provide you all information by e-mail to avoid delays. though giving US address would be a good idea.

Georgetown Admission's webpage states that "it is the policy of the Admissions Office that decisions are sent by mail only and not released over the internet, phone or fax"

I think they will not send decisions via e-mail. Hope for the best.

Hello Friends!!!

Just 10 minutes back, I received letter dated November 28 via FedEx from Caryn M. Voland, Associate Director of Admissions, Georgetown Law Center informing me that I got selected for admission into their LL.M. program.

I am surprised at their speed. I have submitted supported documents only on November 14, 2007 (one day before the deadline) and got decision so early.

Good luck to all of you....

Guys....I just received my admission letter for Georgetown today morning...by Fedex. Needledd to say I am pity excited abt it. But the admission letter does not say anything abt scholarships/grants....though it does mention that a special website will be there soon in December for information for all admitted students...hope that contains something on scholrships etc.....and the date by which I need to accpet their offer.

Any idea ????

Hope u all get ur admission letters soon too.

Cheers

I got my admission packet today! (But that was because Fedex didn't catch me at home yesterday!) So does that usually mean that if they made a decision early on your application, you had gotten in?

Congratulations to everyone, too!

They state that within the coming month a special website will be established for admitted LL.M students, which will include "important deadline infomation for deposits and forms".

I guess that's when they will let us know how to secure a place in the LL.M Program.

Hey Congrats to you all. My appliation got completed 5 days ago although i had submitted my applications on the 14th. I was told that it was being reviewed for the Toefl waiver request. I guess its taking about 10 -15 days for the status to change from "complete" to "decision". Please share your thoughts. My anxiety is getting the better of me.

I just checked their website again. All is not lost until December 15! That's the date they gave for when results will be released for early application.

And remember, they also said that those who applied early will be given more favorable consideration.

I hope we all make it. Man, I'd really hate to be reading this thread while waiting for results! I understand the pain!

Hey there,

any news from GT?

I checked on the website yesterday, and my status is still "complete". No decision has been made so far and i really start to worry about it. I don't know what to think. Maybe some people could share info.

Thks

Until the status of your application changes to "Decision" you should not worry. Remember that they say that decisions are normally issued by December 12th. If by that date you still don't have any news, I would recommed you to send them an e-mail.

Good luck!
