101 at the TOEFL iBT?
Hello,Tue Dec 04, 2007 08:06 PM I just received my TOEFL iBT test scores and I got 101. 27 in reading, 28 in listening, 22 in speaking and 24 in writing. I see that Columbia requests a minimum of 105. Given that I got 101 and that I got good results in all the sections of the test, except the speaking session, I was wondering if you think that I should re-take the test or not. I believe I have a very strong curriculum. Do you think the TOEFL result will have my application rejected only for this reason??? |

I have the same score on iBT and I'm planning to apply for Columbia too. Though I took a paper test in november to see if I get a better result. Tue Dec 04, 2007 08:28 PM I think that you don't have time to retake the test... It's too late for that. You may confirm this information. |

Thank you for your kind reply.Wed Dec 05, 2007 10:04 AM I had a telephone conversation with the graduate admission office of Columbia. They suggest to re-take the test and they say I have time to file the new results. |

some of the schools insist upon not only the total scores but sub-scores also. some of them have provision for a "waiver" if the medium of instruction in candidate's first law degree was English.
